If you are getting older and finding day-to-day life a bit harder to manage, you do not have to figure it out alone. Support at Home is the government’s current aged care program, and it is available to you right here in Logan.
What Support at Home Is
Support at Home started on 1 November 2025, replacing the old Home Care Packages program. It is built around a simple idea: you stay in your home, on your terms, with the right support around you.
Your funding is organised as a quarterly budget, money you direct toward the services that matter most to you, through a provider you choose.

Eight Levels of Support
Support at Home replaced the old four-level system with eight classification levels. Your level is set through a comprehensive assessment in your home, a conversation about your daily life and what you want to be able to do. Quarterly budgets range from $2,682.75 at Level 1 to $19,526.59 at Level 8.
Unspent funds carry over automatically each quarter. You receive interim funding at 60% of your approved level while your full allocation is being arranged.

What Support Can Cover
Your budget can go toward personal care, domestic help, nursing and clinical care, allied health services, transport, home modifications, assistive technology, and social support. Clinical care is already fully government-funded. From 1 October 2026, personal care joins it, so your budget stretches further for everything else.
Your Rights Under the New Aged Care Act
The Aged Care Act 2024 commenced alongside Support at Home on 1 November 2025. It places your rights at the centre, not as a nice idea, but as a legal requirement. Every provider must meet strengthened Quality Standards and operate under a Code of Conduct and Statement of Rights.
