Youth and Family Support in Brisbane and Logan
If your family is going through a difficult time – whether that’s managing a young person’s behaviour, responding to a crisis, or just feeling overwhelmed – you don’t have to navigate it alone. Greater Support provides Youth and Family Support services across Brisbane and Logan that are practical, compassionate, and built around what your family actually needs.
We work with children, young people, and their families to build stability, strengthen relationships, and create the conditions for everyone to thrive.
What is Youth and Family Support?
Youth and Family Support is flexible, in-home and community-based assistance for families dealing with stress, change, or crisis. It’s designed for families who need hands-on help right now – not a waiting list or a referral to somewhere else.
Support might include:
- One-on-one support for a young person struggling with behaviour, school, or relationships
- Practical help for parents managing complex family dynamics
- Crisis response when things are escalating and the family needs immediate assistance
- Skill-building for young people to support their independence and confidence
- Coordination with schools, health services, and other agencies involved with the family
Support is delivered in your home, in the community, or wherever it’s most useful – not just in an office.
Who We Support in Brisbane and Logan
Greater Support works with families across Brisbane and Logan, including:
- Families referred through the Department of Child Safety (DCJ / Child Safety Queensland)
- Young people aged 5–17 navigating challenging periods at home or school
- Parents and carers who need practical support alongside their child’s other services
- Families at risk of breakdown who want to stay together with the right support in place
We also work closely with NDIS participants who are young people with disability, providing support that covers both their disability needs and their family’s wellbeing.
How Greater Support Works With Families
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support. When we work with a family, we start by listening to the young person, to the parents or carers, and to anyone else closely involved. From there, we build a support plan that’s honest about what’s needed and realistic about what we can provide.
Our team is trained, experienced, and genuinely committed to the families they work with. You’ll have a consistent point of contact – someone who knows your situation and shows up when they say they will.
Referring a Young Person or Family to Greater Support
If you’re a caseworker, school counsellor, GP, or allied health professional working with a family in Brisbane or Logan who needs additional support, we welcome referrals.
Greater Support works alongside your existing services – we’re not here to duplicate what’s already in place, but to fill the gaps and provide the practical, consistent presence that makes a real difference for families.
To discuss a referral or find out more, visit our contact page or call us directly. We aim to respond to all referral enquiries within one business day.
