Our support in practice

Helping stabilise a kinship placement through daily routine support

The situation

A kinship placement was experiencing difficult morning routines. The children were frequently arriving late for school, and the carer was reconsidering whether the placement could continue.

Our support

We provided structured in-home assistance from Tuesday to Friday for three hours each morning.

The outcome

Morning routines became calmer, school attendance improved and the placement remained stable during the support period.

“We are very thankful for the support Greater Support provides to the kinship carer and the children.”
